Gorgonzola Honey Toasts

Having a lovely french baguette on hand opens up the world of possibilities when it comes to toasts and bruschetta and any pretty nibble you can think of.  Any spread, any cheese, any veggie: the options are endless.   That’s why you see so many “Toast Tuesday’s” on the internet; you’ll never run out of toast ideas.

This is a super simple one that packs a punch with just a few ingredients.  The heavy, creamy texture of the gorgonzola means it can be the star of the show.  The sweet honey slightly cuts down the sharp taste of the cheese and pairs perfectly with the crisp bread.

Best part? It can be ready in under 15 minutes and will brighten up any hors d’oeuvres table.



  • 1 fresh baguette
  • about 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups Gorgonzola, crumbled
  • 3-4 TAB honey


Slice baguette into thin slices.  Brush with olive oil.  Bake in a 375° oven for about 6-8 minutes, or until the bread is lightly toasted and crisp.

Place cheese on the toasts and bake until melted, about 3 minutes.  Drizzle honey over the toasts.

Serve warm.
